Panduro Hobby was established through sheer creativity when Carlo Panduro, of Spanish descent, began making his own souvenirs and jewellery in post-war Denmark. His son Jörgen expanded the business idea by selling hobby materials to the public sector and in the early 1970s, he dared to start open his own stores, one in Copenhagen and one in Malmö.
The legendary Panduro catalogue was the leading sales channel for a long time, but in the 1980s, the company began to focus seriously on the retail trade.
Today, Panduro is Europe’s market leader for hobby materials and has 114 stores in six countries. In 2013 we acquired 100% of Pipoos, our Dutch equi-valent. Today, 31 Pipoos-branded stores are located in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Panduro Hobby currently has around 650 people and the company’s annual sales are SEK 850 million. Today, together with the CEO and the board of directors, the Panduro family continues to lead and develop the company.
The Company is owned by Thomas Panduro, Jesper Panduro and Peter Panduro. In autumn 2015, Michael Forsmark took over as CEO.
